Cool Stars 23
15 – 19 June 2026, TOC Ariake, Tokyo Bay Area, Japan
The "Cambridge Workshops on Cool Stars, Stellar Systems and the Sun" are held biennially and have evolved to be the premier conference series for cool star research.
Poster sessions will be held in a room on the 4th floor of the conference venue (TOC Ariake Convention Hall). Each poster board measures 900 x 2100 mm (W x H).
You can put a poster of any size as long as it fits within these dimensions.
We divide the poster sessions into two periods: the first period (June 15–16) and the second period (June 17–19). Each poster presenter will be assigned to one of the periods.

For those who wish to use an on-site printing service, the most convenient option is to order printing from ACCEA Co., Ltd., which has a store on the 3rd floor of the conference venue. By submitting your poster file in advance (at least one day prior to your arrival), you can pick up the printed poster at the store (please select "TOC Ariake Branch" as the pickup location). The cost for an A0-size poster is 3,476 yen for heavyweight matte paper, 4,400 yen for photo glossy/semi-gloss paper, and 5,170 yen for polyester cloth. Please see the company’s website for more details.
Please note that registration is required to use this service, and all instructions are provided in Japanese. Non-Japanese speakers are advised to use a web page translation tool when completing the registration.
We cannot be responsible for any issues resulting from the use of this service.

For participants residing overseas, please fill in the address fields on the registration form as follows.
During the ordering process, you will also be required to enter the furigana for your name in full-width Katakana. If Japanese input is not available in your environment, please use an AI tool (such as ChatGPT) to convert your name into full-width Katakana and then copy and paste it into the applicable fields.
We ask all poster presenters (both onsite & virtual attendees) to submit an e-poster ahead of the conference. If you would like to present your poster virtually from the beginning of the conference, please upload your pdf file by June 8. Although we will still accept files after this date, we cannot guarantee timely online availability of your poster.
Poster PDFs will be collected via the Zenodo proceeding&poster page (https://zenodo.org/communities/coolstars23/). The uploaded pdf files will be also linked on the eposter gallery page in the conference webpage (to be opened by the start of the conference). Detailed submission instructions of the Zenodo page is available here (PDF).
A slack channel will be prepared so that presenters are able to receive questions and comments for discussion. Virtual participants can also arrange online poster presentations during the poster session time slots (please prepare your own Zoom/WebEX/Teams by yourself).
If you are an early-career researcher and would like to be considered for the award, please apply from here (Google Form). Deadline is June 5.
We offer the winner(s) an opportunity to give a 12+3 min. oral presentation on June 19 (Fri.).
(Only participants attending in person on that day are eligible.)
